Harvieston Hall.
Where the standard began.

Harvieston Thailand is the Asian entity of the Harvieston group — a privately held Scottish property and hospitality business operating country estates, serviced accommodation and event venues across Midlothian and the Highlands. Harvieston Hall is where ownership, guest readiness, maintenance, contractors, accounts and reputation stopped being abstractions and became recurring responsibilities.

[ H.01 ]Origin of the discipline

Not decoration.
A working estate.

Running the house — its rooms, its grounds, its hosting, its contractors, its long-life systems and its accounts — is what shaped the group’s working definition of stewardship: the rigour required to keep a property at standard, season after season, without drift.

That same rigour — translated, never copied — is what we now apply in Thailand, on behalf of owners of villas, boutique hotels and estate-led assets.

We operate autonomously here: our own team, our own market judgement, our own decisions, sharing the group’s standards, systems and relationships rather than reporting a script from Scotland.

[ H.02 ]The operating standard

Fabric. Calendar.
Standards.
Reporting. Accountability.

A property is governed as a system of recurring responsibilities — not a series of reactions. That holds in Midlothian and it holds in Koh Samui.

  1. 01 / IV

    Fabric is the asset

Roof, stone, joinery, plant — or in the tropics, roof, teak, pool plant, aircon and salt. Long-life systems decide long-term value far more than any season's takings.

  2. 02 / IV

    The calendar runs the property

Maintenance cycles, inspections, contractor visits, account closes — recurring work, scheduled and accounted for, not reacted to.

  3. 03 / IV

    Standards must be written

House manuals, guest standards, reporting cadence. Discipline that lives only in someone's head is one departure away from drift.

  4. 04 / IV

    Accountability is personal

Stewardship is signed for. Every engagement we accept is overseen by a principal — not delegated into anonymity.

[ H.03 ]In summary

The Hall is where the standard began. Harvieston Thailand applies that discipline to selected hospitality assets in Asia.
